When the storms went thru Spartanburg in early 2020, among other things, they did tremendous damage to the trees in many of our neighborhoods. The Noble Tree Foundation has wanted to help our community recover from this terrible tree loss by giving away trees to individuals all over Spartanburg.

Through the generosity of Duke Energy and by collaborating with TreesUpstate, the Noble Tree Foundation will start the Spartanburg Storm ReLEAF event with a total of 254 FREE trees available to the public on Friday, October 16 from 3:00 to 6:00PM at Hatcher Garden & Woodland Preserve and Westminster Presbyterian Church. Pickup will be CoVid-19 compliant with CDC and SCDHEC guidelines and recommendations.

The trees will be in three and seven gallon size containers with a selection of a total of seven tree species for the residents to chose from including American Beech, Blackgum, White Oak, Baldcypress, Basswood, Overcup Oak, and American Hornbeam. Each registrant will be able to reserve two trees per household. To reserve your two free trees, you must register here. For more information, see this event.
