Completion of the Overlook Terrace

Becoming structurally unsound with age, the Observation Deck had become structurally unsound with age and its replacement, the Overlook Terrace, has just been completed. The Spartanburg Men’s Garden Club built the wooden deck overlooking the lower pond back in the 1990’s. The paver-floored Overlook Terrace has an opening for a Yellow Poplar/Tuliptree (Liriodendron tulipifera) which wooden deck had been built around. The Terrace has several stone benches and a stone wall that circumvent the space.
