Experience meditation in motion!
Originally used for defense and combat, this ancient Chinese martial art is now used as a gentle, low-impact form of exercise in which practitioners perform a series of deliberate, flowing motions while focusing on deep, slow breaths. Join Micha Helmsley for a five-week Tai Chi class in the Children’s Garden located near the entrance of Hatcher Garden.
This is a great opportunity for beginners to start your Tai Chi journey! All levels of skill are welcome!
We will meet five Thursday afternoons in October from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Children's Garden near the entrance of the garden. This is a temporary location until access to the Garden of Hope and Healing is open. There are no limits on spots available. Inclement weather policy is that if it is under 40 degrees, or raining, there will be no class.
Sorry for the Trick (no treat) but there will be no class on Thursday, October 31st, Halloween.
Please register each week you plan to attend prior to class. All donations are welcome. The proceeds will help keep Hatcher Garden a breath of fresh air for the community to enjoy.
