Led by Spartanburg Master Gardener Lori Waddell, this workshop will divulge the secrets to growing stunning dahlias. (The picture of this dahlia was taken from Lori’s own garden!) Dahlia Fun Facts:

• Did you know dahlias are native to Mexico and Central America? The Aztecs grew them. European explorers brought them to Europe where they became all the rage.

• Dahlia derives its genus name from Swedish botanist Anders Dahl. As a tribute to Dahl's contributions to botany, Spanish botanist Antonio José Cavanilles named the flower in his honor.
