Next Coloring Page in the Alphabet Series

The next coloring page in the alphabet series is Y which is for Yellow Trout Lily (Erythronium americanum). This spring beauty is getting ready to bloom, the mottled green and brown leaves (which resemble the markings of a trout) have emerged through the fallen leaves. The nodding yellow flowers with bronze markings on the outside will rise shortly. Like other spring ephemerals, it is one of the first flowers to emerge in the Josephine Hatcher Woodland Garden.
